During a regular meeting between President Ramos-Horta and Prime Minister Xanana Gusmão today, the Prime Minister recognized the results of the President’s participation in the United Nations General Assembly and his visit to the United Arab Emirates, where he made many contacts that will bring great benefits to Timor-Leste.
The President’s extensive overseas travel agenda is about seeking investment opportunities, cooperation, and working collaboration with successful nations to improve the situation in our dear nation of Timor-Leste.
In addition, through the President’s image as a Nobel Peace Prize laureate, we can showcase Timor-Leste’s involvement in global affairs and its commitment to peace and development, which will have a long-term impact on Timor-Leste’s development.
